Temporary pipe shutdowns (Line Stop) are an effective method to safely isolate pipelines under pressure – without interrupting operations. Using high-pressure blowing technology, we temporarily disconnect sections of a pipeline from the rest of the system and reconnect them later.
During this time, necessary work can be carried out on the pipeline system. Damaged fittings can be replaced, and new components can be easily integrated into the existing system.
For pipe shutdowns, we use a small tapping valve through which ballistic nylon balloons are introduced into the pipes. Using a chamber system, the balloons are filled with air or water. They can safely isolate a system pressure of up to 8 bar and temperatures up to 120°C. What’s particularly impressive is the ability to seal off even large pipe diameters such as DN2500 – with a pressure of up to 3.75 bar. The balloon shells can be adapted to different media, making the technology versatile across many application areas.
High Durability
Even under high pressures and large pipe diameters, our Line Stop technology holds up – for demanding applications under maximum stress
Uninterrupted Operation
Operations continue smoothly during repairs or maintenance. Thanks to quick setup and minimal downtime, shutdowns are avoided, and work is completed efficiently.
Flexible
Whether large or small pipes, our technology remains adaptable and offers efficient solutions tailored to your requirements – in various industries.
